Dramatic limestone cliffs, beautiful beaches and the low cost of living in the area have ensured that large numbers of tourists flock to the region every year. Recent years however have seen the region develop a reputation amongst the scuba diving community, attracted by the stunning underwater topography which easily rivals the dramatic cliffs and pinnacles found above the water. Today, the popular resort areas of Ao Nang, Koh Phi Phi and Railee Beach are as likely to be filled with scuba divers as the traditional ‘horizon-gazers’ of the 70’s and 80’s. The scuba diving in Krabi and Koh Phi Phi seems to be concentrated into four main regions. The local islands and reefs just south of Krabi, the various dive sites at Shark Point Marine Sanctuary, the sites surrounding the islands at Koh Phi Phi and the two world class dive sites at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. Just a few miles south of Krabi lie the small islands of Ko Ha, Ko See and Ko Yaw Bon. The dive sites here are an interesting mix of tunnels, swim through’s, coral heads and large boulder formations. With the exception of the tunnel at Ko Yaw Bon, the dives here are accessible for novice divers and provide an excellent opportunity to see marine life including Black Tip Sharks, Banded Sea Snakes and Leopard Sharks. The dive sites of Shark Point Marine Sanctuary are home to an incredible array of marine life, and although the diving here tends to be dominated by the dive sites at Anenome Reef and Shark Point, the King Cruiser Wreck provides an excellent dive and is now home to a good amount of coral and marine life. Large barracuda and tuna are regularly spotted here, attracted by the large amount of nutrients swept up from the nearby deep waters. Continuing further south are the stunning islands at Koh Phi Phi, an area characterised by the dramatic limestone cliffs and pinnacles which rise dramatically above the sea, before plunging down into the dark depths below. Once a quiet Muslim fishing village, the region now has a developed diving industry, and today there are at least ten dive centres operating out of the Ton Sai area on Koh Phi Phi. Underwater, the islands of Koh Phi Phi are a mixture of coral gardens, steep walls and swim throughs, and the islands have a number of excellent dive sites in close proximity. In particular, the dive sites at Ko Yung Pinnacle and Ko Bida nok consistently deliver excellent scuba diving and are widely acknowledged as being the best dive sites in Koh Phi Phi. Last, but certainly not least are the two world class dive sites south of Phi Phi at Hin Muang (Purple Rock) and Hin Daeng (Red Rock). These sites, a mixture of steep walls and pinnacles are both in close proximity to deep water, and as such the larger marine life are attracted to the large amounts of nutrients that can be found here. The two sites at Hin Muang and Hin Daeng represent the best opportunities for people wishing to see either whale sharks or manta rays, and both are regularly sighted at these dive sites. The scuba diving throughout the Krabi and Koh Phi Phi region is undoubtedly of the highest standards, and a number of the dive sites offer genuinely world class diving. For divers looking to go scuba diving on Koh Phi Phi or in Krabi, the majority of the dive centres in the region can be found in the resort of Ao Nang or on the beach area at Ton Sai in Koh Phi Phi.

: Hotel rayong: New Honda hybrid car

The Pattaya Hotels And Resorts Guide Provides A Brief Summary

The Pattaya Hotels And Resorts Guide Provides A Brief Summary
by Amporn Saechin
The Pattaya hotels and resorts guide provides a brief summary, customer ratings and reviews for hotels or resorts. This meant 16 days of absolute leisure, including shopping and spas, not to mention a cultural experience.
But first... We booked into our hotel. Everything in Bangkok seemed shiny, especially our hotel where yellow gold played an intricate part of the architecture. The room was spacious and every inch as beautiful as I expected, with striking views of the city.
After settling in at the hotel, we headed towards the Grand Palace. Luckily we read in a brochure about the Grand Palace that a certain dress code is expected when entering, including no shorts, no sleeveless tops and no flip flops. Being from a completely separate culture, we found this a little strange and hadn't really predicted this happening whilst being on holiday, but one of the perks of a holiday is to experience new cultures and practices.
We took the Chao Praya River express to the palace. It was a great idea, because as we moved towards the Grand Palace and Wat Pra Kaew, also known as The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, we had an overview of an unforgettable sight. The colours of the Grand Palace are in a striking contrast to the white wall that surrounds it. The gilded stupas and rooftops are tiled with bright, shiny orange and green tiles. There were mosaic encrusted into the walls and the colours seemed overwhelming.
A good time to shop... After our morning of cultural awareness, it was time for some shopping; after all, Thailand is well known for its markets. We took a shocking pink taxi (all colours in Bangkok are bright) to northern Bangkok where the Chatuchak Market is situated. Anel was the one to remind me to pack as little as possible since she knows of my addiction to shopping and I was so grateful to her for that! There were probably thousands of stalls. I was in shopping heaven! At some stage I was standing with about ten DVD’s in my hands when Anel said to me that she had done enough shopping for the day, and that I was being a little overzealous with my spending. This is why we are great friends; we can tell each other things like this without being offended. Amongst the clothes I bought was a beautiful native designed top. The patterns are quite unique using beautiful colours like no other top I had ever seen.
Our trip continues... In the next few days we continued to Koh Pha Ngan, Satun, Penang, the Cameron Highlands, Kuala Lampur and Melaka.
Melaka, or Malacca, is the capital of the Sultanate of Malacca. The culture in Malacca is as diverse as South African, but with a difference of course. It's a mixture between Chinese, Malaysian, Portuguese, Dutch and British. The Malaccans really know how to make good food. For lunch Anel and I went to a little restaurant in the town centre and had Nyonya-Baba cuisine. It's a mixture of Chinese and Malay cooking, but with a bit of a spicy bite. Anel is used to eating spicy food, but as for me: not exactly. At first bite it was a bit of shock to my system. Anel laughed while I was almost in tears for the most part of my meal. Even if you don't enjoy spicy food, you have to try it once at least.
For our last day we continued to Singapore. Singapore can be described as a big beautiful concrete jungle. Anel and I booked into the outdoor Spa Botonica for our last day: Pure bliss! We had a pebble foot bath, followed by a Vichy rain shower and aromatherapy body booster. My favourite was the hour and half aromatherapy massage. I dozed off during my massage and felt a bit sheepish when Anel woke me up to tell me that lunch was already served. Afterwards we had an aromatherapy facial followed by a pedicure before heading back to the hotel.
During dinner we were discussing our favourite parts of the holiday. The cultural differences were the one thing that stood out the most. Some say the world is getting smaller and smaller everyday, but it's only when you travel that you really appreciate the fact that although this might be true, there are still indifferences that makes life just so much more exciting.

Cheap Hotels In Thailand

Cheap Hotels In Thailand
by Megha Poddar
Thailand is one of the famous tourist countries and situated at the Southeast Asia. Some say the world is getting smaller and smaller everyday, but it’s only when you travel that you really appreciate the fact that although this might be true, there are still indifferences that makes life just so much more exciting.

Link thai: Travel Thailand holiday

Resident of Krabi - Yellow Tiger-Tail Seahorse : krabi tour thailand 2008

Resident of Krabi - Yellow Tiger-Tail Seahorse
by KrabiDivers.com

Ringing in good tidings for the new year, a newly immigrated resident to Krabi was spotted by one of our KrabiDivers.com instructors on New Year's Day. At 4-cm long, he appears pregnant. Yes, "he" was pregnant as the male in this species are the ones to get pregnant and productive!
Krabi, south of Thailand, is the gateway to the famous Andaman Sea where scuba divers and snorkellors from all over the world convene as winter approaches in the western world. Famous for its incredible waters, great visibility and huge variety of dive terrain, Krabi is a must-stop for all nature and water lovers on vacation in Asia. KrabiDivers.com operates the premier scuba-diving and eco-tourism center in the heart of Aonang, the sea-side town of Krabi. Here, you can launch off to the amazing Similans, Richelieu Rock, Phi Phi islands, Phuket and Lanta. And lets not forget the relatively unexplored local Krabi waters where the caves and caverns provide a great underwater adventure. And here is where we found our Tiger-Tailed Seahorse on New Year's Day!
Seahorses are amazing creatures. The seahorse is one of four families in the syngnathiform family which also includes pipefish, flag-tail pipefish and seadragons. They swim in an upright position with their tails down and their heads up using their dorsal to move forward and pectoral fins for steering control. Also unique for their prehensile tail (able to twist & grasp),tube-like mouth (with no teeth), and small gill openings. Seahorses (like chameleons) can even move their two eyes independently of each other. Ranging in size from the tiny 10mm to 35cm, the largest is the Pacific Seahorse. Seahorses eat small crustaceans which they catch by staying still and lying in wait till their prey comes near, and they snap them up. Then their tube-like mouth creates a vacuum that sucks the prey in and they swallow their food whole.
Sea horses are unusual in a couple of ways. One is that they are monogamous and have long courtship periods when mating. Monogamy is unusual in all animals but particularly among fish. The longer a couple of seahorses stick together, the better they are at producing babies. It is the males of seahorses that carry their eggs in a pouch on his belly, after the eggs have been deposited there by the female. The eggs are fertilised in the pouch and incubated between 10 days to 4 weeks before they hatch. At hatching, the male gives birth to fully developed but tiny little seahorses. The natural lifespan of seahorses is not known, but believed to be from one year for small species to five years for the larger species. Highly elusive and difficult to spot in moving water, finding a seahorse is every diver's dream come true.
So, you can imagine our absolute euphoria when we spotted the little yellow Tiger-Tail. Being creatures of habit, once settled into a location, they tend not to move too much. Hence, we can find it again and would love to show it to you.
Come dive with KrabiDivers.com and let us take you out to the amazing underwater world of Krabi, Phi Phi, Phuket and Lanta. As a result, prices are very reasonable compared to most other countries given the high quality of accommodations and services offered. But if visitors plan to visit Pattaya, it is highly recommended to make hotel reservations well ahead of time, since most hotels there are fully overbooked in these popular tourists destination.Pattaya has an excess of accommodation in every price bracket. Yet tourist are advised to always take a look at the room (or better still several rooms) before agreeing on a price. However, tourist can see hotel review in more internet websites.Pattaya boasts an incredible choice of accommodation to suit for every traveler. Facilities range from luxury hotels with private beaches to bayside hotels and bungalows, and inland, economy class hotel and guest houses. For backpackers and adventurous tourists, guesthouses are usually the cheapest option, costing fewer than USD 10 per night (or less for a dorm bed). This gets you a room with a fan, a squat toilet (often shared) and not much else.Pattaya hotels start around USD 10 and go up to around USD 300. The upper end of this range will be air-conditioned or more facilities , the lower with not. The primary difference is that with a hotel room, your bathroom should be more private, beautiful, luxurious, bed linen and towels should be provided and there may be a hot shower. Moreover, some hotels provide other facilities such as satellite televisions, WIFI internet and more.Tourist hotels are generally around USD 25-40 and offer the basics for a beach vacation: swimming pool, room service and cable television. Business and luxury hotels, more than USD 50, offer every modern amenity you can think of and are largely indistinguishable from hotels anywhere else in the world. Some notably Pattaya's The Hard Rock hotel are the world's best hotels which is win the award "Hard Rock Hotel of The Year". The most luxurious resorts also fall in this price category, with some of the very best and most private. With a projected 15 millions plus visitors to Thailand predicted in 2006, it is expected that many of the hotels in Pattaya will have high occupancy rates throughout the year. For those who are not familiar with the Pattaya geography. The South and Central Pattaya located hotels are the ones to choose if you are looking to be in the center of the "action". There are lots of restaurants, bars, shopping and etc.For those looking for perhaps a quieter night's sleep chose North Pattaya or Naklus, where there are several quality hotels down by the beach at Wongamart. The beach is better than that in Pattaya and the congestion of both people and vehicles is a lot less than in Pattaya. It is however, easier to travel to Pattaya for the evening by taking one of the many "baht buses" which is Thai people called "Song-Thaew". They congregate at several points along the Pattaya Beach Road

The Past And Present Of Pattaya Thailand : Thailand tour thailand hotel resevation review 2008

The Past And Present Of Pattaya Thailand : Thailand tour thailand hotel resevation review 2008

The Past And Present Of Pattaya Thailand
by KengIsm
The word "Pattaya" was originated long time ago. But a big change occurred on 29 April 1961 when the first group of about 100 American servicemen who would join the Vietnam War arrived in Pattaya for relaxation. Soon, sleepy Pattaya became Thailand's premier and most successful beach resort, which annually attracts hundreds of thousands of pleasure-seeking visitors.Pattaya's popularity grew so rapidly that the local government couldn't cope with its administration. So in the 1976 Pattaya and nearby Naklua became one administrative district. Then in 1978 Pattaya was declared a city in its own right.Nowadays, Pattaya integrates the delights of a 1st class beach resort in Thailand, city-like dining, shopping and night life entertainment facilities with more than 500 hotels, thousands of shopping center, restaurants and bars.In addition, there are an array of sports and recreational activities including beaches, golf courses, tennis courts, go-kart and Thai-boxing gear. Pattaya offers a broad range of things to do. During the day, one may enjoy riding elephants or driving humble automatic mini-bikes, ATV, or even monster multicolored convertible Jeeps. Others go for shooting firearms, scuba diving and surfing, deep-sea fishing, jet-ski, scooters, water-skiing, parasailing, or aerial sports such as flying motor-propelled gliders. On the other hand, in the night time, there are restaurants, bars, theaters, cabaret shows, night clubs, bowling halls, billiard & snooker clubs, discos, sauna & massage parlors, not to cite its absolutely incredible shopping which is available non-stop both day and night.

Karon beach resort - another popular destination on the island of Phuket : Thailand tour thailand hotel resevation review 2008

Karon beach resort - another popular destination on the island of Phuket : Thailand tour thailand hotel resevation review 2008

Karon beach resort - another popular destination on the island of Phuket
by David Yuri
When it comes to planning a vacation, the options are endless. What makes a good or even perfect vacation destination? The things people look for is what they are interested in: stuff they can do, places they can visit and other things like that. What are your interests?A popular destination for a relaxing vacation is the island of Phuket. Located in the southern part of Thailand, this island is also called 'the pearl of the Andaman' because it comprises all the necessary attractions which appeal to every tourist, no matter their preferences.Let's start with the places you can visit. A great tourist attraction is the Phuket zoo. It has a surface that stretches on 10 hectares. Within this vast area there are over 100 types of amphibians and reptiles, 600 bird species and over 45 kinds of mammals. The Phuket Seashell Museum is home for various rarities. In it you can view the only left-handed Noble Volute ever to be discovered and a very rare golden pearl. Other attractions include giant clams or fossils over 380 million years old.For people interested in culture, one of the biggest Buddhist Temples, the Wat Chalong, represents a very important attraction in Phuket. One of the reasons may be the enormous half buried Buddha, which has a fascinating history going back ages ago. There are lots of interesting things you can do as well. The nightlife in Phuket is restless and filled with great and fun activities. Everything you can do or visit in Phuket needs a place where you can rest. This is where the Phuket hotels come in play.Phuket hotels come in all sizes and comfort standards. Ranging from two stars to five star hotels, you can always find a room which serves your interests the best. Depending on your preferences and budget, the Phuket hotels provide choices for every tourist. For the tourists that seek sunny beaches for a quiet and relaxing vacation, they should set their eyes upon Karon beach resort. Patong beach, which is located further north, provides the perfect solution for people on the look out for fun and wild nightlife. The Karon beach resort has a beach approximately 1.5 km long. After the tsunami disaster in 2004, most areas here have been fully recovered, leaving just a few spots which need to be redeveloped. This is the perfect location to spend some time relaxing and watching breathtaking sunsets on the beach. There are just a few Phuket hotels in Karon beach resort which have direct access to the beach. Even so, you will find whatever you heart desires here and all you need to do to get to the beach is cross the road, which does not have a lot of traffic. There are also lots of interesting places you can spend your time in Karon beach resort. These include bars or restaurants like H2O Entertainment or Harry's Restaurant and Pub. All you need to do is get there and the rest will come by itself.

: : Thailand tour thailand hotel resevation review 2008 Thailand tour and hotel booking review 2008 reservation hotel resort thailand bangkok phuket pattaya chiangmai samui

Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting days : Tour Thailand Club (Reservation Hotel & Resort)

Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting days : Tour Thailand Club (Reservation Hotel & Resort)
:: Tour Thailand Club; Reservation Hotel & Resort::Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting daysby Andy BurrowsIn spite of the tsunami of 2004, Phuket has steadily rebuilt much of its infrastructure so that it now holds as much of its previous glamour as before. Its beautiful beaches foster excellent diving conditions, and the ever-clear Andaman waters never let divers down. The nightlife is thriving and there's always something to get on board with, so you'll never find yourself without something to do.Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre At this time, at least three families of rescued gibbons have been introduced back into the wild and currently live on the Royal Reserve. Their distinctive calls can be heard in the forest, and visitors who catch a glimpse of these animals are always glad they came. A stopover or maybe even a quick swim at the nearby Bang Pae Waterfall makes this trip twice as appealing.Adventure sports Phuket is loaded with activities to get your heart racing and your adrenaline pumping. The island is home to Thailand's only licensed bungee jump operator who, on top of those credentials, is the only operator in all of Asia to insure this activity. Those wishing to dive into the forests and hills on the island can do so on the back of an ATV or strapped to a lumbering elephant. A shooting range in Chatong has safe and reputable facilities, and go-kart tracks are easy to find. No matter what your preference is, there's an outlet for the adventure seeker on vacation.Island hopping The archipelago of islands that extends past Phuket is known around the world for its beauty. Chartered daytrips can be arranged to almost any of these Andaman Islands, where passengers can enjoy sightseeing, snorkelling and depending on availability, overnight accommodation. You may have seen a few of these islands in feature films like The Beach or a James Bond movie. A few of the more outstanding islands are Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Coral Island, Kaew Island, Similian Islands and Sirey Island.Water sports Water sports at Phuket are multi-faceted. Parasailing over the Andaman offers a great perspective with the coast on one side and the horizon on the other. Scuba diving and snorkelling in the famously calm, clear waters is a fun activity that the whole family can participate in. For those with a penchant for sailing, there are dinner cruises to enjoy, sailing lessons in which to enrol and fishing trips on which to embark.Waterfalls Phuket's waterfalls are great places to take a swim or enjoy a picnic. Kathu Waterfall is the farthest inland and offers inviting, cooling pools for a quick dip. Ton Sai is often photographed due to its pools and tall palm trees. The island's Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre is home of the island's third waterfall, Bang Pae, and those who venture here are also afforded the opportunity to glimpse one of these rare animals.Shopping Shopping is a popular pastime anywhere in Thailand. Shoppers in Phuket will find the whole gamut of traditional souvenirs. Silk, cotton and custom-made clothing can all be found at attractive prices, as can leather, jewellery and antiques. Patong is home to many of the markets and due to the everyday tourist scene, shoppers do well to come prepared ready to bargain for a price that both parties can agree on.Eating out Restaurants in Phuket cater for every palette with international and world-class Thai cuisine available all over the hottest tourist districts. Fresh seafood is in seemingly endless supply, and most dishes are tailor-made to satisfy tourists--not too spicy without a specific request. Authentic Thai food is easier to find the farther inland you go, where the crowds of tourists give way to legitimate Thai villages and communities.Thai kick boxing Visitors who come to Thailand specifically to study martial arts will not be disappointed in Phuket. Phuket Town, Chalong and Rawai are all home to open training gyms where students learn the ancient martial art form of Thai kick boxing, or Muay Thai, which has increasingly gained world recognition for its highly effective combat style. Its popularity is evident in the droves of spectators that gather every Friday to watch the fights hosted in Phuket Town.Promthep Cape Promthep Cape is one of Phuket's most photogenic spots, a fact to which the crowds of tourists testify. On-site is a popular merit-making shrine covered in miniature elephants. There's also a statue erected in honour of a 19th century prince well-known for founding a Thai school of navigation. The cape is a great place to take spectacular photos, especially at sunset when the evening light bathes this southernmost point of the island.Temples Wat Chalong is the most visited Buddhist temple on Phuket, due largely in part to its unique design and décor, spacious grounds and modern chedi (pagoda). Other well-known temples include Pra Tong, Put Jaw, Jui Tui, Pra Nahng Sahng and Sanjao Sam San. When visiting any temple, locals will appreciate it if you practice proper etiquette--namely covering your legs and shoulders, taking off your shoes and maintaining an air of reverence when inside the sacred buildings.

Labels: phukethotel thaihotel hotelphuket hotelsphuket phukethotels hotels phuket hotel phuket resortphuket puketthailand phuketthailand

Phuket Honeymoon Spa Dedicated Relaxation

Phuket Honeymoon Spa Dedicated Relaxation by Maypopup M.
We hope that you finish this article having learned at least a little bit of new information. In their twenties, they are striking. In their thirties, they are looking more mature, but still most are very attractive.
The women working in the ubiquitous bars and massage parlors of Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket are mostly former housewives, believe it or not, married but separated, with two kids they left back in their village with their mothers. Most are from Isaan, the North-East corner of Thailand, which has a large amount of poverty. Some are from other parts of the country, especially Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, and a very few are from Bangkok or central Thailand.
But about 1 in 100 is not a female at all, but a "ladyboy", or katoey in Thai. Quite often, they appear more feminine than the real women. I have seen many a farang ogle and lust after a very sexy woman, not realizing that "she" is a "he".
Like the women, most ladyboys are from Isaan. I have talked to a few on a one to one basis, and asked them when they first knew they wanted to be a female. All said they knew at an early age, around 5 or 6 years old. They said they liked the female manner, didn't like rough sports, were partial to art and music.
Katoeys are an accepted part of Thai culture, considered to be a third sex in Thailand. Several are movie stars and TV announcers. One is a national kick-boxing champion. You will find ladyboys everywhere, working as waiters, store clerks, hairdressers, couriers, etc.
In North America and Europe, a sex-change (also called a gender re-assignment) operation is considered to be a big deal, requiring many months of psychological counseling before the operation to make sure the person is committed to the change.
In Thailand, a sex change operation is quite common. There are several clinics and hospitals which perform it, and the cost is a fraction of what the western charge would be, typically US$5000-7000. Nevertheless, for a poor person from Isaan, $5000 is a huge amount of money.
There are three main areas in Bangkok where ladyboys are present in large numbers: Nana Entertainment Plaza (on Sukhumvit Soi 4), Patpong Road (off Silom), and Soi Cowboy (close to the intersection of Sukhumvit Road and Asoke Road, which has both BTS SkyTrain and MRT Subway stations).
At Nana, the majority of ladyboys are "pre-op", meaning they still have a penis. At Patpong and Soi Cowboy, most are "post-op", meaning they have had the operation to create a vagina. The operation involves cutting out a section of intestine, which will become the vagina. The penis is cut open and inserted into the intestinal tube; typically some of the scrotal sac is used to increase the length of the new vagina. The tip of the penis becomes the new clitoris, and is normally still sensitive after the procedure is finished and everything has healed. The ladyboys I talked to said they could still have an orgasm, but did not ejaculate.
Scar tissue is visible if the post-op ladyboy retains his/her public hair, but if it is shaved off, it is difficult to tell an artificially created vagina from the real thing.
However, this is typically not the end of the story in sex reassignment. The male body is typically larger than the female, even in Thailand, where many people seem to be 80% the size of western people. The ladyboy has to take hormones for a couple of years before the operation; these hormones help him grow breasts and reduce his facial and body hair growth. Thai men don't usually have much body hair, compared to Western men, but they do have some; hormones or another treatment are needed to reduce or eliminate it. However, hormones have a side effect of reducing the ability to ejaculate.
Males typically have a protruding Adam's apple, so that is yet another operation: it can be shaved by a surgeon to reduce or eliminate the protrusion. And many have electrolysis to eliminate body hair, especially in the armpits.
If you visit Nana Entertainment Plaza after 7PM (which is when it opens), you will find several hair-dressing establishments located on the decks that run around three sides of the structure. The ones at the front cater to the bar girls; the ones at the rear cater to ladyboys. You can watch some of the ladyboys preening and preparing their makeup.
Some of the bars are exclusively ladyboys. If you enter one such bar, you will find that most ladyboys are more than passable and some are strikingly beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen an ugly ladyboy.
As far as relationships go, ladyboys are just like Thai women. They want a long-term relationship, and they will try hard to make the relationship work. Many speak some English, but you really need a product like Speak Easy Thai to help you learn some basic Thai vocabulary. If you can communicate better, you have a much better chance of a lasting relationship.
A part of Bangkok's nightlife that should not be missed by any visitor, ladyboy cabaret shows are professionally done, with spectacular productions (lots of feathers and glitter, good music, and some comedy as well). You can see them at the Calypso Cabaret (Asia Hotel, Ratchathewi SkyTrain station), Golden Dome Cabaret (15 minute walk from Sutthisan subway station), and Mambo Cabaret in the former Washington Theater between Sukhumvit Soi 22 and 24.

Pattaya Thailand

Pattaya Thailand by Robert Rystrom
Pattaya is one of the largest cities for tourism that can be found in the country of Thailand. Physically, Pattaya is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is Southeast of the country's capital, Bangkok. With wonderful attractions offered, much of this city's economy consists of tourism. If you are interested in visiting Thailand, chances are that you may want to think about visiting the city of Pattaya. This city is known to have a lot to offer to its tourists, which is the reason that it has become such a popular tourist attraction recently. Here, we will take a much closer look at some of the main attractions that Pattaya has to offer to its tourists, in order to help you determine whether or not vacationing in this city may be a decision which you may want to make in the future. Pattaya Beach is a favorite spot of many tourists, and it is also the most popular beach that Pattaya Thailand has to offer. Since it is located near shopping centers, bars, and hotels, it has become very popular among tourists. Unfortunately, it is often hard for many to get a spot on the sand, due to its popularity. Jomtien Beach is another one of the beaches which Pattaya Thailand has to offer. While it does offer some hotels and restaurants, Jomtien is mainly an area where people own summer homes. It is typically easier to find a spot on the sand at this beach than at Pattaya Beach. Jomtien Beach is especially loved by who enjoy taking part in water sports. It has a large entertainment center which offers water park attractions, a roller coaster, a monorail and fun attractions for children - which has helped with it become a popular area for people who are vacationing as families to want to visit. Of course, the beautiful beaches that Pattaya Thailand has to offer is not the only thing that this city has going for it. There are many other attractions which Pattaya has to offer that tourists all find to be quite appealing. Some of these attractions include golf courses, places for go-cart racing, the Sri Racha Tiger Zoo, Pattaya Beach Resort Water Park and Funny Land Amusement Park, a submarine, a crocodile farm, and various museums. There are also various shopping centers and stores which anyone may be interested in visiting while they are in Pattaya. Go go bars and strip clubs occupy the time of many tourists. As you can see, there are so many different tourist attractions that Pattaya Thailand has to offer. Ranging from its beautiful beaches where you can spend the day relaxing, having fun in the sun, or taking part in water sports to its amusement parks and other entertaining activities that the city of Pattaya has to offer, there is no doubt that Pattaya has gained some much well deserved appeal from tourists. No matter what you are interested in doing while you are visiting Thailand, Pattaya has just about everything that you could possibly be interested in to offer. There is no doubt that Pattaya Thailand is a city which you may definitely want to think about visiting.

Ten Top Travel

TipsTen Top Travel Tips by Caroline Poynton
For the modern traveller, the world is your oyster. Okay, maybe you're not prioritising a summer visit to currently war-torn countries such as Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq or Sudan. Likewise, tales of drug-trafficking, kidnapping and armed muggings might put you off a two-week sojourn in Venezuela or Colombia. But perhaps you are considering something a little more off the beaten track - a holiday that will test your nerves a little, or that will embed you in a completely different culture or environment?
Many a modern traveller now explores further afield, with Australasia, South America, Asia and Africa proving very popular for those with an adventurous spirit (who don't mind long plane journeys). But for any such trips, there are known - and unknown - dangers that you may want to research before you leave. Visit Australia and you'll probably be bombarded by people listing its dangerous creatures - box jellyfish, crocodiles, redback spiders, taipan snakes, sharks, and so on - together with a litany of tales surrounding those backpackers who never came back... But go to 'safe as houses, no dangerous animals/plants here' New Zealand and you may not realise that its capital city, Wellington, sits on a major earthquake fault line that is well overdue a 'big one'!
Indeed, in a Norwich Union survey of last year, several places were highlighted as potential danger areas, including Thailand, Mexico and South Africa, where illness, accidents and crime are common. Again, not terribly surprising, perhaps, but did you know that travellers to Mexico made the most number of claims to the insurance company for overexposure to the sun? Probably not.
The findings also mentioned the Caribbean as the worst area for travellers to suffer insect bites and stings, and even Spain and the Canaries hit the list, for possible robberies and pick pocketing.
Even if you deal with all the insects, robbers, earthquakes, illnesses, hungry sharks and venomous snakes, you may still get in your car and crash. In fact, the most likely way for holidaymakers to meet misfortune is on the road, with 15 million people a year injured worldwide in traffic-related accidents. Remember that terrifying taxi journey on the way to your hotel last year? Yes, most of us can recall at least one terrifying car journey in our search for that holiday magic.
But don't worry, BeatThatQuote.com is here to help address all your holiday concerns (both those that you knew about as well as the ones we've just got you worried about). With these travel tips, you can be sure you're making the right preparations for a safe and happy trip, no matter how adventurous you are feeling:
1. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office website is a great source of information on safe/dangerous destinations, as well as general travel advice. Well worth a look if you're planning to backpack round the world. 2. Do not forget or skimp on your travel insurance. Get travel insurance and check that the cover is appropriate for your destination and planned activities abroad. Also ensure it covers any health issues you might have. According to recent research, 15% of British people risk going abroad without any kind of travel insurance - considering an air ambulance from the east coast of the US might set you back £30,000, it is really a risk you don't want to take. 3. If you are planning to hire a car or you are taking your car with you, check you are covered for accidents and/or breakdowns. Don't assume your UK car insurance will cover you for driving overseas - it might not protect you for anything more than road traffic accidents. 4. Check what vaccinations you need at least six weeks before you go and consider whether you need to take extra health precautions. Ensure you have sufficient medical insurance cover for your chosen destination, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions. 5. You will probably be leaving your home empty while you are away - ensure you have got/renewed your home insurance in the event of anything happening while you holiday. Also consider asking a neighbour to pop in/water the plants every now and again to ensure your house looks occupied. 6. Get a good guidebook and get to know your destination. Find out about local laws and customs. 7. Make sure you take all documentation with you, including your passport, necessary visas, and insurance documents. Make copies and store separately just in case you lose anything. 8. Check your bank cards. Do you know how much you will be charged for using your cards abroad? It might also be worth telling your bank or credit card provider about your trip. With fraud on the rise, some card providers/banks will stop your card if they see unusual/unexpected spending. A phonecall will remedy this situation but it's just another holiday 'downer' you can avoid. 9. Take enough money for your trip and some back-up funds, for example, travellers cheques, sterling or US dollars. 10. And if you're going for a long trip of several months or more, just don't forget your responsibilities at home, including your mortgage. Budget carefully and ensure you can cover all your payments both at home and abroad.
Once you have done all of this, all you need do is pack your bags and go. It might be a scary world out there, but with a bit of forethought, there's a whole lot of opportunity for adventure too. Have fun!

Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting days

Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting days
Holidays in Thailand - Phuket in 10 exciting days by Andy BurrowsIn spite of the tsunami of 2004, Phuket has steadily rebuilt much of its infrastructure so that it now holds as much of its previous glamour as before.

Phuket - Top Holiday Destination in Thailand

Phuket - Top Holiday Destination in Thailand by James Bukovsky
Phuket Island - Popular Vacation Destination
Phuket has grown into one of the premier holiday destinations in South East Asia and is one of the busiest travel destinations of Thailand. It has replaced Bali as the most popular holiday island in the region.
What makes Phuket island such a great travel destination?
Phuket is first of all an inexpensive holiday destination. Phuket hotels, resorts and guesthouses can be found in all price categories and ratings and prices are considerably cheaper then what one would encounter in Europe or America.
Dining in restaurants or buying drinks in bars or clubs on Phuket is also less expensive then what most tourists are used to paying back in their home countries.
Phuket Beaches
The palm tree lined beaches of Phuket Island are of course world famous due to its crystal white sand and clear water of the Andaman Sea. Some of the nicest and most popular beaches found on Phuket Island are the beaches at Patong, Kamala, Karon, Kata and Nai Harn.
Phuket Nightlife
The Phuket nightlife is another reason why many tourists visit Phuket each year on holiday. Many tourists seem to keep coming back each year for especially the nightlife and bars of Phuket.
Most Phuket island nightlife venues can be found in Patong beach along the well known Soi Bangla. A number of large clubs are located along Bangla road in Patong including the very popular Tiger disco and the new Seduction Disco.
You can also find along Bangla road and the many small streets leading into Soi Bangla hundreds of beer bars. Each beer bar has a number of beautiful Thai ladies working for them who there to please the clients.
Phuket Shopping
Going shopping in Phuket in the past was not one of the most interesting activities for tourists due to the lack of a good variety of shops and products. Most of the shops sold the same tailor made clothing, bootleg movies and software and fake designer clothing.
Over the last few years however, a number of large shopping malls have opened on Phuket housing well known international retailers, unique local boutiques as well as international restaurant outlets such as Outback steakhouse and Burger King.
If you are going to visit Phuket for a holiday then please make sure to visit the brand new Phuket Junkceylon mall in Patong or the Central Carnival Mall along the Phuket by-pass road.
